Artist statement
My artistic endeavors span various mediums; predominately clay, leather and canvas. I enjoy using my materials in unexpected ways.

My hand-built clay pieces are about contrasts and contradictions. Words, colors, and their power, inspire me and show up in my hand-stitched, embellished leather and canvas journals, and my mixed media painted and collaged canvases.

In keeping with my ideals and personality, it is important that my work has a functionality to it beyond aesthetics. I wish to share a message or story, to educate, to inspire. I want my creations to be an everyday part of peoples’ lives.
